Amerton Farm Ltd are sending you this text to update on current information regarding wages. At present I have no details re: changing employee's status from lay off to furlough. I have been told to advise staff, we will pay you as per the job retention scheme and as soon I have any details I will be in touch. We understand staff will get 80% of their normal monthly pay at your next pay day. Following Boris broadcast tonight, I feel we have no other option but to close the site except for the Food Hall. Only 2 customers at time are allowed in the food hall and customers need to wait on the car park observing social distancing of 2 metres. I cannot stop tenants having access to your units. However, I feel we cannot do anything else but to stop appointment by arrangements. This is something I had truly hoped we could avoid. Let's hope this can be resolved as soon as possible. Today news from the PM is very helpful to us as a business and you as employees, with the promise of 80% of your wages supporting by the government. To all staff We have been working all day trying to sort out standing orders and loans. We are all at breaking point as I am sure you are right now. This is such a worrying time and I did not believe we would ever have to lay staff off.   Just to explain fully about the situation regarding wages: A staff member can request to take up to a week’s holiday pay if you have it and it has been accrued. All Staff It is a very difficult time that we find ourselves in at the moment. I am sending you this text message as Today’s Amerton Farm Update. Just to update everyone, the car park water is down see before and after pictures on Facebook. Richard and Alex have working very hard all day and we will re- open again tomorrow. PLEASE NOTE: Those who have booked  advance tickets today (Sunday 15th Feb 2020) in Billy's  have all been contacted and have been told those tickets can be used tomorrow and will be honoured at anytime in the future, providing they provide proof of purchase.
